Patrick Street Improvements

The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas contracted Pickering to provide the design for improvements on South Patrick Street, from East Washington Avenue to Creath Avenue. The pavement width in this particular section narrows to as little as 15 ½ FT of pavement which provides only one lane of traffic. Compounding the problem, this section of North Patrick Street dead ends into an existing concrete batch plant, where concrete trucks leave and enter the site using this very narrow one lane section of street. The volume of large concrete trucks magnifies the safety issues for the traveling public associated with this area. 

To assist Jonesboro in alleviating this hazard, Pickering is currently performing design surveys and construction documents to provide a minimum of 24 FT roadway section with curb and gutter. These enhancements will provide much needed improvement to the Jonesboro infrastructure and its citizens.
